Announcement of continued relationship ahead of charity’s first anniversary
The Charitable Travel Fund has been selected by travel safety consultants Sanderson Phillips to be their main charity partner for 2022.
After almost 12 months of working together and ahead of the Charitable Travel Fund’s first anniversary in November, Sanderson Phillips has committed to continuing to donate a proportion of its new business earnings to the UK based charity over the next year.
Created to support communities in developing world travel destinations that depend on tourism revenue, the Charitable Travel Fund raises and delivers financial aid to people that have little support when their income is threatened or extinguished by events beyond expectation.
Melissa Tilling, Founder of The Charitable Travel Fund, said: We are absolutely delighted by the support we’ve received from the Sanderson Philips team. The importance of the social justice of Sanderson Philips, who are focused on protecting travellers when overseas, to then in tern financially contribute to the protection of communities who have lost the tourism income, cannot be understated. This is a company truly giving back and we are so grateful.
David Atkin, Managing Director at Sanderson Phillips, said: “We are so pleased to make the Charitable Travel Fund our main charity partner for 2022. In our role as travel safety consultants for a wide variety of organisations and auditing across 152 countries, we recognise the importance of providing financial aid to the destinations and communities directly affected when tourism disappears. As an organisation that we share many values with, we are proud to offer The Charitable Travel Fund our continued support so that they can deliver vital assistance to people and communities around the world.”
